FIN-GER celebrates 100-year old Finland!

FIN-GER takes part in the official Suomi Finland 100 international centenary celebrations by hoisting the Finnish flag on Tuesday evening 05.12.2017. We continue on Wednesday 06.12.2017 by illuminating the Store with blue & white lights, and of course having a Birthday Party "Together" with friends of Finland and FIN-GER Fellows.

FIN-GER visits Hütten & Paläste

FIN-GER visited Hütten & Paläste in Berlin and returned back the Architecture Biennale Exhibition. Architects Nanni Grau and Frank Schönert, who received the Goldfinger Prize 2017, were very happy to see all their models, books, and design material back home again!

Sauna S1 mini-exhibition

FIN-GER Sauna S1 was presented to the public in a window mini-exhibition - Fensterausstellung - at the 19. Zellerauer Kulturtage at Bürgerbräu Old Brewery. People could see the architectural design drawings and a small model of the S1 made out of EUR-palettes together with some awsome Finnish sauna gear.

FIN-GER Architecture Biennale 2017

The official opening and lecture of the FIN-GER Architecture Biennale 2017 was at the Fürstensaal in the Würzburg Residence. Architects Nanni Grau and Frank Schönert talked about the different projects made by Hütten & Paläste and received the Goldfinger Prize for Making Ideas.
After the lecture guests moved over to the Bürgerbräu Old Brewery to the official opening of the Hütten & Paläste exhibition at the FIN-GER. The evening continued into the night with the Sekt and fingerfood, fans meeting the architects and ejoying the Pop Up Office atmosphere.
The Hütten & Paläste Exhibition is open to the public between 12-18. Welcome!

Bürgerbräu Sommerfest

FIN-GER took part in the traditional Bürgerbräu Summer Party with several parallel events: the Art Exhibition for Dogs - dogumenta - was opened for one more time for the four legged visitors. At the same time, the World's first ever known art exhibition in a sauna was held at the FIN-GER Art Sauna by Laura Zyzeka. Her exhibition "grenzland" was about borders, walls and identity. And finally FIN-GER became a member of the Deutsch-Finnische Gesellschaft DFG.

Juhannus
2017-06-23
FIN-GER in collaboration with the Deutsch-Finnische Gesellschaft arranged Juhannus - Finnish Midsummer Party at Bürgerbräu Old Brewery on Friday, 23.06.2017 between 18:00-22:00. Traditionally the Juhannus is celebrated until the next morning - or until the end of summer holidays, so we wew prepared for Afterparty Party. The program included music (tango), loimulohi salmon slow roasting on open bonfire, grilling sausages the original Finnish way, beer and other drinks, as well as games and competitions. The highlight of the event was the building and opening of the FIN-GER sauna: model S1 "Inferno" made out of EUR-palettes.

This event was arranged in "nyyttärit" style, so everyone brought along what they wished to eat and drink and share also with other people.

AA building SAUNA

The kids from the ArchitekturAkademie für Kinder helped building the pop up FIN-GER Sauna at Bürgerbräu. The Sauna model S1 was made out of 15 EUR-palettes, pieces of wood to close the caps and a Finnish sauna heater to blast off the hot "Löyly". The basic construction of the S1 was completed in half a day!

The kids from the ArchitekturAkademie für Kinder designed a Gigantic Green Laserkoala to the Umsonst & Draussen festival. The Monument is build out of 720 beer boxes and lit with groovy eye catching lights. Come and check it out!

Architecture Workshop

FIN-GER, in collaboration with Architektur Büro Jäcklein, launched off 2000 analog iPads at the Project Day of the Egbert-Gymnasium in Münsterschwarzach. During a two-day event over 800 school kids, teachers and other members of staff will investigate and express with text and images the positive and negative learning environments. At the end of the Workshop all the analog iPads will be collected, and the tacit knowledge provided by the users will be taken into account in developing the school's renewal plans.
